Share projects between Finger3D / Finger3D HD and Finger3D PRO
Tutorial to share projects between Finger3D / Finger3D HD (for iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) and Finger3D PRO (for MAC OS X):
- Save the current Finger3D or Finger3D HD project using the Projects Archive: write the project name (like for example Automobile) and press on the button Save the project in the archive
- Connect Your portable device (iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch) to Your MAC / PC using the USB cable, open iTunes, select Your portable device, select App, select Finger3D or Finger3D HD, select the textures (file .png and/or .jpg), select the file 3D model (Automobile.plist) and drag the selected files in a MAC / PC folder (create a new folder for the project) (please read the iTunes File Sharing documentation)
- Select the Automobile.plist file, right click on Your mouse, select file informations (we have to modify the 3D model file extension)
- Rename the file Automobile.plist ... (see the next step)
- ... using the name Automobile.f3d
- Press the button Use .f3d (the new file extension must be .f3d)
- Open Finger3D PRO and import the textures: Texture -> Import Textures
- Select all the texture files (.png and/or .jpg) and press the button Import
- Open the 3D model: File -> Open...
- Select the 3D model Automobile.f3d and press the button Open
- The 3D model will be displayed
- Modify the 3D model and save the changes using File -> Save...
(3D models can also be shared using the .obj + .mtl file format)
